The Nirvana Santa ride was great fun again, with everybody getting into the spirit & donning an assortment of outfits. The weather was kinder this year & we managed to get to the BBQ spot without looking like drowned rats! There was a good turnout for out 2017 Nirvana Santa Ride, with many rider's entering into the spirit & wearing costumes. Best outfit goes to Paul A with his Reindeer contraption! Unfortunately for head Santa Simon, the ride was cut short when he managed to catapult himself over the bars & head first into a tree trunk, resulting in knocking himself out! Once again the Nirvana Santa ride headed out into the Surrey Hills to bring festive cheer to all & sundry. The outfits this year were superb & the best one had to be Paul's, who succeeded in being the biggest fairy riding the tartiest bike in the Surrey Hills all day..maybe ever! After a fun ride we headed off to The Plough pub at Coldharbour which provided a superb Xmas dinner & provided a fitting end to a fun day.
The day may have been dreary, but the Santas, Elves & reindeers were anyting but. There was a good turnout, enticed I'm sure by the the promise of cakes & food at the end of the ride. We stuck to Leith Hill & Redlands & despite the mucky conditions had a fabulous ride. There were plenty of tumbles in the slippery conditions but nothing serious.
