A small snippet of some of the fun on the Nirvana Sunday ride. Thanks to 'Donut John' for the edit :-) And Adam for styling it up...
After a recent tragic local event, I think it's worth mentioning that although our fabulous Paramedics & Ambulance driver's are publicly funded, the Air Ambulance isn't. For as little as £2 per month (options available) we could make a difference to something which may one day save our or our loved ones lives.https://www.kssairambulance.org.uk/give/reds
The trails were in primo condition for both the Saturday jump ride & the Sunday ride. Here's a nice little video of the guys riding a newly discovered trail called 'Uncle Albert'. The beauty of riding in the Surrey Hills is that you never get bored, always fresh, always fun!

Summer has finally arrived & what a fantastic day to be out on the bikes. We headed over to Simon's new trails & got some jump practice in. Dave, Wayne & Russell were fairly new to jumping but made amazing progress with Russell topping it off by showing how not do it at the end. Luckily he was ok & soon got back into the swing of things.

Mixture of abilities today & everyone joined in the spirit of things & had a great time. Eventually culminating on jumping as far as possible on 'Toad Hall'
Matt has put together another good video of the Nirvana freeride practice ride which takes place on Saturday's at 10am. The riding was predominantly on Leith Hill & Redlands & much fun was had by all, even Matt who took a little tumble at the end.

There was a good turn out for the Nirvana Saturday ride. Unsurprising , considering it felt like the first day of spring. There was a mixture of abilities so we headed over to 'Head's Roll' to get a bit of practice in & build everyones confidence up over some jumps. We then bimbled on over to Leith hill for some wiggle waggle riding which if you've ridden with Simon you'll know exactly what that is! Lots of twists, turn, ups & downs. Then Dan revealed that he had his eye on doing ' …
So 20 years ago to the day, we opened our doors with eager expectations & our Sunday ride began. Who would have thought all this time later we would still be leading a ride out on a Sunday. The rain had abated from the dreary drizzle from the day before & the sun made an appearance every now & then. It was inevitable that we would get muddy but with Simon leading the ride & drawing on 20 years of experience, this was kept to a minimum with a well chosen route. It did have a bit …
There was decent turn out for the ride considering it's February, cold & wet. So with Jo proving that women really can multi task by changing, talking & preparing her bike the ride left on time. We kept to Leith Hill but managed to get in some skills practice with Dave building on what he learnt on the Saturday freeride practice. Jo was also improving her jumping skills & just needs to believe in herself more. The little clip below is of 'Your head's on fire' with Dave mastering it …
