Despite a few days of heavy rain the trails were running sweet for the Nirvana Sunday ride. We managed to have one of the best rides of the year with a flowy ride which took in Leith hill, Redlands, Holmbury & Pitch. Amazingly Happy Simon completed the whole ride despite missing 5 weeks of riding. 'Balls of steel' Al had his customary crash & jump straight back up again on 'Thank you Jesus' with the only damage being to his bike. Not only 'balls of steel' but made of steel! Lunch stop was at the Stephan Langton pub in Friday Street. They popped in recently to ask what mountain bikers want on a lunch stop & we said something simple & fast! So they are doing a sandwich, cup of tea & flapjack for £6. It was spot on & would definitely recommend. All in all a great ride & just goes to show how great the Surrey Hills are for riding all year round.
