Thanks to Fritz for this video of our Saturday ride, on a beautiful day in July
What a fab weekend of riding in the snow. It arrived Friday night which was perfect timing for the Saturday ride, it has to be said only a few hardy souls rocked up to brave the cold! It was worth it though, the scenery was stunning & the two Fat bikes came into their element & did what Fat bikes were designed for...cruised over the snow, big smiles all round. The Sunday ride was braved by a few more hardy souls & covered about 20 miles which was pretty good going in the conditions. …
We've taken our first delivery of Pivot bikes in the shape of the 140mm travel Mach 5.5 27.5. A perfect bike for our local Surrey Hills trails but more than capable for the trips away to Wales & beyond. We'll shortly be receiving the Enduro designed Firebird 29 with 170mm travel that has to be ridden to be believed how well it rides. We'll also be receiving the only aluminium bike in the range, the Switchblade 27.5+/29 with 135mm travel a great all round bike & at a slightly more …
Our very own Tony B, rider of all things on two wheels, has done a little review of our demo Evil the Calling. If you'd like to check it out for yourself just give us a call.
Evil The Calling:
I've spent a bit of time on the Evil Calling lately to get a real life understanding of it. So yeah, all bikes are capable of doing lots of stuff and some are better than others at certain things and yes all bikes are fun. The Calling falls into a do it all bike but screams fun! It's like …
We were super lucky with the weather on our Hope demo day, trails were running sweet & customers were able to demo the bikes to their full potential. Hope brought along the original 3D printed models & prototypes used in the evolution of the HB160 & it was great talking to Sam, who as one of their world cup mechanics knew everything there was to know, not just about the frames but all the Hope own kit used to build up the bike. The bike certainly seemed to excel in the Surrey Hills & …
A few images which captured the essence of the Saturday ride & mountain biking. Glorious weather, fantastic trails & great riding buddies, it's what's mountain biking is all about. Photos courtesy of Lesham, the handsome one posing on his Pivot.....
The conditions were unbelievably wet & slippery, but we had a fab time. By picking our route carefully & sticking to Leith Hill where the riding remains good all year round, we managed to have one of the best rides of the year so far. We went back to practising some basic techniques ie. log jumping, which sounds simple, but can be quite tricky. Matt managed to take a nice video of all the shenanigans.

The trails were in primo condition for both the Saturday jump ride & the Sunday ride. Here's a nice little video of the guys riding a newly discovered trail called 'Uncle Albert'. The beauty of riding in the Surrey Hills is that you never get bored, always fresh, always fun!

Paul & Dave turned up on their Fat Bikes for the Saturday jumpy practice ride & managed to get a bit of air. Will then showed them how to do it on 'The jump with no name'. He also succeeded it getting a massive amount of distance over at 'Toad Hall'.

Summer has finally arrived & what a fantastic day to be out on the bikes. We headed over to Simon's new trails & got some jump practice in. Dave, Wayne & Russell were fairly new to jumping but made amazing progress with Russell topping it off by showing how not do it at the end. Luckily he was ok & soon got back into the swing of things.
